M&S Pasta Challenge

Mr Scott Crocker, manager of Marks and Spencers, Hayle, visited the Year 10 Food Technology pupils on Thursday 19th March. He gave them a valuable insight into careers in Product Development, Food Retail Industry, Hygiene and Quality Control Procedures. Pupils were given the opportunity to carry out disassembly and sample some delicious pasta dishes!

The pupils were set a task to develop a new, original pasta dish which could complement Marks & Spencer’s existing range, and had to cook it on Thursday 2nd April.

Mr Crocker returned to judge the pasta competition on Thursday 2nd April. He remarked on the exceptionally high standard of food produced by all pupils and awarded prizes for the winning students.
